You haven’t seen Bergen until you have been on top of Ulriken !
Ulriken is the highest of the famous 7 mountains in Bergen, and are reaching 643 meters above sea level.
Its name probably came from the Nordic “Alrek”, meaning the towering. The sides of the mountain are steep, but the top reveals a magnificent recreational area towards north, south and east. The view from the top overlooking the city and surrounding scenery is wide.
Departures : All year from 9 am – 9 pm.
The ride takes 7 minutes to the top
Bus departure every half hour Monday – Sunday: 9 am – 5 pm.
Please note that he cable cars may be pulled out of traffic if heavy wind should occur ( above 18 meter per second ).
